Please keep the FANTOME in your hearts and say a prayer for her gallant crew. We sailed on the FANTOME
in February of 1998 for the Eclispe in Guadaloupe. On Tuesday, October 27th, 1998, Windjammer lost contact with
FANTOME as she was trying to evade Hurricane Mitch. A debris field with several life vests, a life boat and the
staircase from the FANTOME was discovered on Tuesday, November 3rd. The US Coast Guard officially called off the
search on Thursday, November 5, 1998.
